Books

Here are some of my favourite books:

Here is a brief explanation of why I like each book:

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

"The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (1999)"
Tells of a boy who always feels like what he experiences is a borrowed experience... he loves it but struggles to truly feel part of the loop - he feels an outsider. This book explains the sentiments of a youth whose experiences are of vital importance in his growing up into the beautiful individual which his introvert nature masks.

Status Anxiety

"Status Anxiety (2004)"
Speaks of the anxieties that arise in a modern Western Capitalistic society where expectations are often high and unrealistic of us, people can be harsh, we can be too harsh on ourselves and experiences as well as influences upon us can be superficial. An interesting and eye opening read.

The Celestine Prophecy

"The Celestine Prophecy (1995)"
Is a new-age Philosophy book in a fictional setting where scriptures are uncovered in Peru that the authorities try to suppress as their findings challenge the teachings of Christianity. Another eye-opening experience of a book, definitely something to read to broaden understanding and appreciation of spirituality... of our connections with other people, with the world and more importantly, ourselves.

You Can't Tell The People

"You Can't Tell The People (2001)"
Examines evidence and questions the real life cover up of an even that happened in the UK about 20 years ago which suggests a UFO landing. The title of this book is a direct quote of Margaret Thatcher upon questioning by the author on the subject of UFOs.

God's Politics

"God's Politics (2006)"
Asks the question "what place does God have in politics if any?". This book examines the philosophy and logic behind the left and right Americans, their policy and how it has devastated people and politics in the era of Bush politics.
